Something feels slimy about pretending.
Closure happens when we accept that we can't control what happens around us. We can only control our thoughts and actions and we get to decide how we want to move on.
Now, sometimes there’s utility in those difficult feelings. Other times, we’re just making ourselves feel crappy for no reason.
This exercise is meant to hold up a mirror to your current self. It’s a mirror that reflects all of the awesomeness, love, light, growth, and expansion you are.
The way you move through the world, is stirring people into action to also unbecome, in order to become.
Three years ago, I thought I turned a corner and figured “it” out, or rather, figured myself out. But I must have missed the mark. I woke up and realized I was the problem
I wasn’t happy because she was gone. I was happy because she was no longer suffering, and we were no longer suffering. Now I could have the relationship with her that I had been yearning for my entire life.
Feelings don’t define your worth. Unless you allow them to. And so many do without even knowing it. It’s okay to feel lonely. It’s not okay to stamp yourself as unlovable.
We say we want change. Some of us say we want to change. And while anyone can say this, the point is change is work.
These require continued practice, but they’re your recipe for a good life.
Because this is life: one beautiful and amazing suckfest that demands our focus to get where we want to be, at any given time.
Why do need to spend hundreds of dollars, countless hours and pour our hearts into this meal on this day, for the sake of tradition?
